Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. The high, tight feeling in the first weeks after augmentation is mostly caused by swelling in the surrounding tissue — fluid building up around the implant pocket. Lymphatic drainage reduces this fluid, which directly reduces the tight and pressured feeling. The implants settle into a more natural position as the surrounding tissue swelling reduces. Most clients notice a clear improvement in chest comfort after three to five sessions.
Not at all. Your therapist works entirely within your current range of movement. You do not need to raise your arms above your head at any point during the session. All the armpit and upper arm drainage work is done with your arms resting comfortably at your side. Just let your therapist know your movement restrictions when they arrive and they will set up the session around them.
Most augmentation clients find that between 6 and 10 sessions across the first four to six weeks gives them the most benefit. The first two weeks usually involve more frequent sessions — every two to three days — which then space out as the chest settles. Your therapist will give you a specific recommendation based on how your recovery is progressing at your first visit.
The day of surgery itself is not the right time for a session — your body needs the first 24 to 48 hours to begin the initial healing response. Day three to five is usually when the first session works best. Message us on WhatsApp with your surgery date and we will help you plan the right time to start.
Yes. Two months post-surgery, any remaining firmness is usually the tissue still settling rather than active swelling. Sessions at this stage focus on softening the firmer areas and supporting the final tissue settling. Improvement at this stage is more gradual than in the early recovery weeks but consistent sessions do produce results.
